Women's UTRS: Best Scores of 2013 Updated July 28

Last year, The All Around created some handy dandy rankings, leading up to the Olympics. This year, not so much. So, I've decided to create the UTRS (Uncle Tim Ranking System), which, for those who care, is pronounced "uterus." Think of my ranking system as a surrogate until The All Around steps in and takes over.

As per usual, take these rankings with a grain of salt. (Pro Tip: Never bet your life savings based on my numbers–or my predictions for that matter.) Judging varies from meet to meet, and as you can see, I've culled these scores from several meets. I've included the competition names so that you can decide how much crack the judges smoked before handing out the scores.

More than anything, you should think of these tables like this: New quad, new Code of Points. What the H is a good score nowadays? Well, let me show you…

  • Bold Face: An update since the last iteration of the UTRS.
  • An asterisk (*): Usually denotes a routine for which I have a final score without a D score.
  • Links, when available, are provided for the top 5 routines.

I'm aware that some of the world's best beam workers are juniors. However, these rankings were devised as a preview of the World Championships. Thus, I have not included the juniors in this list. If you're looking for rising beam stars, you can watch Maria Kharenkova's 15.050 routine here, and you can watch Norah Flatley's 15.200 routine here

  1. Where are Kyla's scores from the AA and bars. You didn't add either but you added Maroney?

    1. Classic was McKayla's first meet of 2013. Kyla has already competed a few times this year. She already received better scores than at Classic in previous meets.

  2. What? Kyla only gets one entry per event. If she already scored higher on both, then you won't see her Classics scores since they aren't as high.

  3. Thanks for this! My nerdy, I need the facts to make predictions brain did not wanted to do the work... but this is just what I was looking for!

  4. Kyla is a real gold medal threat on bars. She has scored 15.400 or above three times now. She has the best average score.

    1. Completely agree with you. Kyla can compete with anyone in the world on ub. She is areal threat at the aa too she's working on her floor and bb I not only think she can win worlds but finish top three. This lady is the real deal.

    2. It would be so great to see Kyla snatch the gold medal on bars! But lets not forget that Mustafina and Kexin are likely to put out huge difficulty scores on bars when the time comes...And with their flawless execution, I just don't see how Kyla could beat that. She would have to add some Tweddle combinations, or rely on other people screwing up.

  5. This post is fantastic! Bookmarking now... :)

  6. MyKayla's floor D score is 6.6. She didn't get credit for some of her dance skills. Her potential D score is the highest in the world. @sporteverywhere did a YouTube breakdown of her Classics routine. It is a 6.6.
